Social Media Tip of the Day: Facebook Page Vanity URL

There are a couple ways you can create a vanity URL for your Facebook page.
One way is to create a “username” for your page just as you would for a Facebook profile. To do this, edit your page and go to “Basic Information.” Click on “Create a username for this page?” On this screen you should see a drop-down list of Facebook pages that you can assign a username to. Once your username is assigned, the URL to your Facebook page will look like: http://facebook.com/facebookpageusername, where “facebookpageusername” is the username you assigned. Note: You can only assign Facebook usernames to pages with 100 or more fans.
Another method you can use is to create your own subdomain name (like http://facebook.socialmediapower.com/) and direct it to your Facebook page. Ask your domain host for help if you do not know how to do this.
